This two-day professional level class is customized for the cosmetically curious to the serious makeup artist

Day One: Covers the application and transitions between Natural-Balanced-Dramatic makeup. 


Day Two: delves into highly stylized makeup looks and business training for the makeup artist.


We invite you to attend one or both days.

  • Creating and applying highly stylized dramatic makeup
  • Advanced techniques including facial contouring, skin enhancements, false lashes, art eyeliner
  • Deeper knowledge of makeup kit essentials and extras
  • Clear understanding of career paths and opportunities
  • Business basics for makeup artists

Class Organization

  • Each day is 10am-5pm with one 30 minute break.
  • Students use each other as models or may bring one model.
  • Students seeking personal makeup growth, or in the event of an odd # of students, may apply on themselves.
  • All makeup is provided.
  • Students may use their own makeup if preferred.
  • Makeup brushes are not provided. A professional makeup brush set is available for $80. (usually 89.95)
  • Class taught by Chris Scott and Nikol Elaine 

Policy


  • Full payment is due in advance of class date.
  • 24-hour notice ahead of class start time to reschedule class date.
  • Non-attendance without notice forfeits enrollment fee.
  • Class size limit-12

 Makeup Gourmet’s brand mantra is ‘How to Apply | What to Buy’, created by its San Francisco-based Founder and CEO Chris Scott. He is the author of the ‘Cosmetic Counter Survival Guide: How to Buy the Right Skin Care and Makeup’, and creator/host of the Comcast produced TV show 'Makeup Gourmet'.  Prior to starting Makeup Gourmet, Mr Scott was a leading Chanel Beaute national artist for over two decades. The company’s MUG Shot Studios in downtown San Francisco provides production space and services to the makeup, fashion, video and photography industries. He also currently teaches fashion makeup at the Academy of Art University.
